Famous already

Check-out

It is is my sixth day in Dutch suburbia. I have the feeling I have been here since May and sometimes it’s hard to imagine that I will ever go back to New York. As the Eagles sang: “You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!”

Tonight I participated in the “Four day Marches”, during four days in June every evening school kids and their parents hike for 5 or 10 kilometers. (Sometimes they hike longer distances.)
I hiked with a six-year-old girl who said to me: “Are you going to write about us in the newspaper? Don’t do it, I’m famous already.”

This night my bedroom is usually guest room, television room, play room and ironing room.

Nice. I remember such hikes from when I was young. Was there any singing during this hike? If so, did you sing too? Good night.
This must be the best room you've had up until this day.

Most rooms were pretty decent.
I like six years’ old logic.

I'm sure they 'll all be. That's a characteristic of the suburbia

People sang but I remained silent.
