Rashes
A natural
While you wash your hands your client can get comfortable,” my teacher said.
Later this summer I will work as a masseur. This afternoon I got my first lesson.
“Be careful with rashes, warts and scars,” my teacher said. And he added: “Be aware that clients may hope for more than a standard massage.”
“Yes,” I said.
“The client can grab your leg,” my teacher explained to me. “Never get angry. Just say: ‘I’m here to give you a massage, not the other way around.’”
Sometimes I believe I’m a natural for this kind of work.

What did he say about excess body hair?

Do you have an aversion to body hair? If so, to which kinds?
Acne vulgaris, not to forget. Some people are serving life sentences of acne vulgaris: a masseur’s nightmare.

Maybe you can invite some people of this blog to serve you as guinea pig.
how long will you be taught in giving massages?

Wonderful idea Mieke. I can use a massage, even an experimental one.
How do you plan to advertise for yourself, to get clients?
Arnon
This is a golden opportunity to meet Den's sister.
Massaging is a very sharing experience. There's a variety of oils on the market, enriched with ein gedi minerals.
I find the idea of having a massage quite terrifying.
Marie
Oh, that magical place called Ein Gedi. Have you ever visited it?

That's why I don't like massages. I don't want a stranger invading my inner circle.
Mieke
Yes! I try to go every year. I have a terrible terrible skin condition and I once read in Cosmo that the mud does wonders for it. Do you read the Cosmopolitan too?
Marie
No. Cosmopolitan gave up on me.
