I resent people touching or looking at my feet although they are quite goodlooking. So there's no contest in that.

Of course i would like to see 'corned feet', but the atmosphere and information within the picture becomes so different when more of the environment is shown.
People tend to regard photographs as reality instead of a time-based sleeze of it in a frame.

Yes, I grew up at the Baltic sea. I never had to wear rubber shoes, though, (neither did my friends) and never hurt myself on the stones in the water. So it must be a tourist thing. The only time I did hurt myself, and quite severely so, was in a lido in Bavaria. I ripped my big toe open on a protruding tile.

We even wore them when we didn't even go to the seaside!
Just like wearing joggingsuits without going out for a run.
