I am yours
Language
“The very language I use against you must prove to you that I am yours,” writes Kierkegaard in “Diary of a Seducer”. (It’s Cordelia who writes this sentence in a letter to Johannes.)
Today, my students at Wageningen University and I read “Diary of a Seducer”.
It’s intriguing that we believe that language can prove anything.

keep f@#ing that chicken1!
non-speaking kids
Children in the age of 12-18 months can't talk but are usually very communicative: a lot of facial expressions, a lot of sounds (and noise), a lot of body language but except for some rudimentary forms no real language.
To me it's an highly fascinating period: they are no longer baby's, they are really little humans but because of their non-speaking they are sort of timeless. And of course this all ends when the talking starts.
Yesterday I read: "Those who believe what they read, shouldn't read"
Proof
Language is seduction, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Where exactly did you find this text?
Mr. Arnon
I can't recall at this moment. I'll think about it and let you know (through this blog or Johannes, I miss Johannes)
Mr. Arnon
I remember it was a Japanese proverb, but I 'm still thinking of the place where I read this.
