Forever

Plans

This afternoon I visited my mother.
She offered me raspberries and asked: “So what are your plans?”

“Proposing to you,” I answered.

“Cut the crap,” she said.

“I’m serious,” I said. “I would like to stay together with you forever.”

Her face lightened up. She said: “But that’s possible without marriage.”

Do you ever regret living so far away from your family?
How did the conversation continue?
Hesper
I started eating my raspberries.

When small children say 'I stay with you for the rest of my life'
mothers smile, happy, moved.
When a daughter of 26 tells her mother 'I stay with you for the rest of my life', the mothers doesn't smile, she is worried.
When a man of 37 ... her face lightens up.
Raspberries are very healthy - lots and lots of vitamine C.

Mothers don't smile; a mother doesn't...

@Mr Grunberg
Do you have any favorite fruit (including the forbidden ones)?
Also bearing Oedipus in mind here.

Today, just an hour ago, I had raspberries with Ewa M. , in Krakow, not in Wroclaw. She also had raspberries. Ewa , who does not read your blog, nor doesn't she know the language of your blog, said: 'Arnon being the man he is should have children, for the sake of humanity.' Then I went to the internetcafe and read today's and yesterday's blog.

Please: NOR DOES she know....
Today I was taking a piss in the toilet that's closest to my kitchen. I heard my mother walking through the hallway and for the first time in my life I thought "Would she ever fantasize about my penis?" I had to stop pissing after that.

Who is Ewa M?
Hesper
I love raspberries, peaches, cherries, clementines and blueberries.

Ewa M. was once my landlady in this city. After me buying a piece of Gruyere cheese instead of a piece of much cheaper Polish cheese, she stopped being my landlady and for a while even stopped being a good friend. Now we are friends again and for a few days in the year she is also again my landlady. Everytime we meet her second, third and fourth questions are: how is Arnon, where is he and does he already has a child. And now she really wants to read 'Our pope'. I'm glad that I can let her read 'Our pope' in Polish.

Thanks for your correction and sorry for my bad grammar.

Laura has nearly the same taste in fruit. She nearly overdosed on blueberries this summer.

Did she throw up?
Arnon
She smiled gleefully.
