Second best

Surprise

Bergamo turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
We discussed the postponement of pleasure over dinner with friends.
Somebody said: “Art is the celebration of second best.”

We almost emptied a bottle of grappa.

Do you postpone pleasures?

a lot of pleasures are a great source for disaster (and the more I think of it the more this seems an enormous understatement)
