Helmerson

Piatti

Today was the last day of the Alfredo Piatti Festival in Bergamo.
Until recently I had not heard of Alfredo Piatti, but I enjoyed listening to his opus for a cello, performed by Frans Helmerson.
After the concert I ate a delicious piece of donkey meat.

Oh no! Eating meat is soo 80's. As is smoking and getting drunk in public.

@Arnon

What would donkey braying do to your appetite?
donkey meat
What coincidence! I had just enjoyed a New Zealand wild deer steak ('steak de cerf'): real venison, delicious indeed! - when I read your blog.
Was the donkey a 'wild one', a game animal, or some beast of burden?

Would braying, mooing, bleating, whinnying, whatever animal sound, influence anyone's appetite for whatever nice meal?
I doubt it.
On the weekend of my grandfather's funeral my family had wild boar. The hunter couldn't have been very skilled, my father said, as the bullet holes in the meat were huge.

A wild donkey?

Yes, aren't there wild donkeys any more?
Like wild horses, or wild pigs etc.
Just wondering...

I don't know, never had the experience. I wonder.
Can pictures of animals influence your appetite?
Maybe only when you eat a cute little white lamb?
