Head of Mission

Tonight the Dutch ambassador to Romania was supposed to throw a dinner party in my honor.
Unfortunately the ambassador had to leave unexpectedly for the Netherlands, but her assistant (official title: Counsellor of the Embassy and Deputy Head of Mission) represented the ambassador very well.
We talked about the lack of freedom of the press in Romania and the ennui of diplomatic life.
Around 11 I went with a couple of people to a nightclub where smoking cigarettes turned out to be a true passion.

Arnon really dislikes people smoking in his presence. It surprised me how strong he felt about it.
