The third wife

Fausto

Our guide named Fausto told us today (I will try to quote him as precise as possible): “My first wife ate the poisoned food. My second wife fell from the balcony, fifth floor, because she didn’t want to eat the poisoned food. My third wife is still alive.”

Apparently the Brazilians hate the Paraguayans, the Paraguayans hate the Bolivians and the Brazilians.
And everybody hates the Argentinians.

But for me the most important thing is that Fausto’s third wife is still alive.

II'm reading Amsterdan Blues in Portuguese. Then I decided to take a look at internet to find something about you. I found your blog, and you are at Paraguai. I don't think Brazilians hate Paraguaians, but deffinaly, we don't like Argentinians!!! Nobody likes them! Enjoy your trip at South America.
IAbout the book, 'm enjoying a lot. In the chapter about the Shoah, when you mencioned the concert, it is not clear in the book in portuguese who is the girl that took you into the bathroom. Isn't Rosie, correct?

It's page 94 at my book. Do you remember the part that you mentioned a concert? This crazy girl took you to the restroom and started to spit on you. What was that? I got a little confused because just before it you were saying about Rosie's birthday. However, aroud page 170 you cited this episode again. Another curiosity: in which city does your sister live?
Do you have any idea about the origin place of your lastname?
