Feta
Falafel
This afternoon I was having a late lunch at the outdoor café at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
While I was munching on falafel balls and baked feta cheese it started raining.
I didn’t want to leave my food alone in the rain, so I ate as fast as possible.
A waiter asked me: “Are you doing fine here?”
“Oh yes,” I answered. Although it must have been clear to the waiter that I was eating falafel balls in the rain. At that moment I was the last one sitting at the outdoor café.
Finally I gave up and I took shelter. I had barely touched my gazpacho.
You have to pay a price for dignity and an al fresco lunch in January, wet clothes is a reasonable price.

Amost a hero
Why didn't you go all the way and stayed out till you were soaking wet and your gazpacho was finisched, you would have been always in the memories of the staff of the Ritz, the line 'remember that crazy writer who ate outside while it was raining' could have made it to a classical there, a pity that you got a fright for 'mud on your face, big disgrace' ... .
You could engage me as your assistant with the umbrella.
What a beautiful picture it would have made. Dozens of people standing cramped together, hiding from the rain, whilst one curly man remains seated at a small table. He is alone, eating balls, but seems happy.

With only one umbrella?
Karol
Two, in case he has a guest.
Arnon
Was falafel good enough to eat it under the rain?

May I?
What when Arnon has three guests?
Vera
Then he has a technical problem.
@Mieke
I am afraid Arnon would be courteous enough to give you shelter, in case of an umbrella.
Bernard
I don't expect Arnon to give shelter to every irritating fan.
