Baghdad

The shower in my hotel in Aleppo proves that Baghdad is slowly but steadily getting closer.

At the beginning of your trip I believe you spoke of almost feeling like going on a normal holiday because you did not take safety kit such as a helmet and protective vest. Do you still feel this way, or are you more apprehensive now about soon being in Baghdad?

A hotel with history. Charming! Are you staying in room 202 by any chance? Lawrence of Arabia was the second movie I saw as a kid (after The Goonies) and left a big impression on me.

The showers in my dorm had similar flaws. And you don't even have mould on the walls.
