Three
Sorbet
Yesterday my mother ate three ice cream cones, two with strawberry sorbet; one with vanilla ice cream. I don’t know where this will end.

Her heart beats and her longs breathe without her ordering them to do so, she wasn't forced fed. Perhaps someone provided the appetite, there is nothing wrong with that, it did not happen out of will to control. It happened out of will to balance. will to be whole.

There is 'drop'- icecream, there is icecream with mint, some years ago I even read about icecream based on beer. Maybe some Beppe can make icecream based on poached salmon, potatoes and some healthy vegetables.

This seems a clear indication that your mother believes that she is on vacation.
I look back and 38 years of life experience tell me we'll be alright. We won't die, no matter what we decide. If you're willing to give me a time and a place for tonight, I'll be there.
Thats a nice gesture, Marie M, I'll check with my girlfriend.
Arnon, i only know of people with lust for life to eat a lot of icecream, once i saw a boy before a cross country run eat four cornetto's and still beat me (although i ate a pound of candy). This result he celebrated with his sixth and seventh cornetto (he also ate one during the race)
A food kick? Maybe a good soul offered her a vaporizer and some weed? Check it out, man.

Does your mother like postcards. We, the readers of this blog, could mail her some "Get better" cards.
Mieke
You can send her a postcard.
Presently she is in the AMC hospital, Amsterdam.
I suppose that answers my question.
Arnon
Mission accomplished, postcard is sent. But I think I forgot to sign.

Do we call her Mrs. Grunberg? If so, should we add dots on the u?
Dens

unfortunately i don't know where i can find the dots for the german ae, oe and ue... 'cause we have a dutch (international?) toetsenboard.
mieke, can you help?
Beata
I use azerty. The dots stand right from the letter P.

But if you send Arnon's mother a handwritten card, your problem will be solved. I'm sure she would appreciate a loving poem.

Whatever keyboard you might have, if you are using a Windows OS (operating system) (or perhaps any OS?), you can type 'ae' as 'ALT+132' or 'ALT+0228' getting you 'ä' - 'oe' as 'ALT+148 / 0246' - 'ö'- 'ue' as 'ALT+129 / 0252' - 'ü'.
Alternatively, click 'Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Character Map' and 'Copy' any character you like into your text.
I made a shortcut to my desktop and to my start menu from the 'charmap.exe' file. Which you can find in your 'Windows\system 32' - folder. Right-click this file and send it to your desktop, or make a shortcut, and drag (or cut & copy) this anywhere you like.
It's a wonderful small program I use all the time.
Hope this solves your problem.
