Tasting menu
La Bohème
The night before my amante went back to her beloved country we decided to go the opera. La Bohème. It was quite a while since my last visit to the opera. Probably I’m offending some opera buffs right now but I appreciated the subtitles. It helps a lot.
After the opera we visited my favorite San Domenico. In my heydays I used to order there the tasting menu for quite a few women and sometimes even men.
Nowadays it’s just an appetizer and a main dish, but at the least the management of San Domenico remembers me and my tasting menu’s.

look-a-like
Do you know you have a look-a-like walking around in the Netherlands? An hour ago I was in Leiden at the University, and I thougt I saw you sitting there, reading the news paper. I had to look three times to know sure it wasn't you.
They say everyone has a double. I never saw mine.
I don't like to saw my doppelgangers. It could be meself.
And I don't like subtitles at the opera, or anywhere else (apart from japanse movies).
I like to feel what they're saying, and it helps that they say everything over and over and over again.

Look-a-like
One day on the streets I said to myself, that guy over there looks familiar. As I approached I felt uncomfortable. Suddenly I shrieked: ‘That me out there!’
Strange feeling. You look at yourself as in a movie. And I felt quite indifferent towards that guy.
