White snapper

Birthday

Today Nick, Maud’s husband, celebrated his 37th birthday.
We ate white snapper and we drank Metaxa.
Maud asked me if she could be my driver next time I will travel to Namibia.
I gave Nick one of Coetzee’s novels.

Did she really say 'me driver' ?
Which one? Which novel did you give?
I love Coetzee more than life itself.
- I loved the book Slow Man - but I don't hope you gave it to Nick.
Saw some beautiful fireworks tonight - ther after lots and lots of bouties all going east by the thousants really.
Maybe tooo Maldregem.
Maud heeft altijd reisplannen.............

Is Maud aware that you started a relationship with your driver that trip to Namibia?
At least you did not give him 'de mogelijkheid van een eiland';)
Of course it's a challenge to go on holidays with an unkwown family. That You travel to an island seems an additional challenge to me; it's like going to prison, You cann't leave when You want, unless You have a private jet. Nevertheless have a nice time. Jos

"Summertime" would be the perfect gift for a birthdayparty while on holiday, i suppose.

So , if I understand correctly , you gave the man "Slow man" -or similar-and you fancied the woman while telling her about driver jobs to Namibia. I call that psychological warfare.

If I had the time ,I would probably read ' In ongenade ' again.
I never give books to my own Nick . He only reads these magazines , specialised in extreem fighting technics . He has the looks of a bodyguard .

To Wendela with love! Take good care of her, she is special.
