Food

Thin line

While visiting the food preparation facilities for detainees we had to wear white caps.
Damien, a reporter from London, born in Ireland, said during a discussion about accents: “It’s a thin line between being me and being understood.”
You never know why you traveled all the way to Gitmo. Maybe to hear this: one honest statement.

And a true one. I will steal his quote.

I'm on a program, nowadays. We had a little conversation about why we were on this program (willing), it was quite obvious, we were all fleeing from something. The question wasn't "what are you running away from", but "do you want to talk about it?"
I didn't.
