Tonight my godson will stay over. Tomorrow morning I’ll go with him to his school and I’ll tell the pupils about my favorite children’s book.

So, what's your favorite children book then? Sounds fun, I want a godchild too.

Will you be wearing a propeller hat?
expecting
Speaking about kids, my girlfriend I. + myself are expecting one in about five weeks from now.
Is it "The Pet Goat"?
My favorite one: Pipi Langkous and everything about Villa Kakelbont. Or else, Roald Dahl, Mathilda or something.
I assume the book to be Lindgren's Karlsson van het Dak.
I beg of you, nothing by Annie MG Schmidt. Please no.
Your favorite children’s book?
Come and see next day ?
?
Karlsson was indeed, my favorite book too as a child. It was something of a family legend how I went to the public library over & over to take home Karlsson part 1, then 2, then 3 and then back to 1. It's the ultimate anti-social children's book. I haven't read it in a while now: I moved on to Arnon Grunberg. (Thanks a lot for those by the way!)
I adore "Karlsson on the roof" and "Emil". Those were the books that could make me hungry.
I liked the tv episodes of karlson a lot (and emil as well but slightly less), but i never read the books. I don't think home was quiet enough for reading, maybe with a headphone it would have been possible;)
Teachers
I'm curious about the preferences of the teachers. What do they read themselves?

I found the appearance of Karlsson in the TV series pretty disturbing. Mats Wikström as this pot-bellied, half-bald boy. His head looked as if he was suffering from some sort of disease.
It must be "Where the wild things are".
