Red car

Walking down memory lane

Last august I spent a week in Kiel for something called “the literary summer”. During the day I wrote my pieces about Afghanistan – I just got back from Afghanistan – and I made for the last time corrections in the manuscript of my novel “Tirza”. In the evening I was escorted to a library or bookstore for the reading. The hotel had a swimming pool, which I used often.
Somehow I was happy although I didn't get to see much of the city, and I developed warm feelings for Mr. Sandfuchs, director of the “Literaturhaus” here in Kiel.
So therefore I decided to give the reading tonight again the highest mark till now: 9. Mr. Sandfuchs was there, the swimming pool was there again, (not the same swimming pool, I'm staying in a different hotel but still a swimming pool) the small, red car of Mr. Sandfuchs was there again.
In the meantime Fatah is thrown out of Gaza and another lawmaker is killed in Beirut. I wonder how my fixer in Beirut is doing. The last thing I heard from her was that she was escorting journalists to Tripoli.

More of the audience in Kiel.

Hello, Mr. Grünberg, you said, you are in germany this week. In Berlin too?? Now I read your book "Der Heilige des Unmöglichen". It`s an older one, but new in german. Can you tell me, when your newest novel will publish at Diogenes?
correction: will be published *smile*
Calendar
Hi Susann,
Have a look at the Calendar linked at the top of the page. There you will find a listing of all the readings Arnon will perform in Germany this month.

Is anybody else having troubles navigating the site? What do you think? Should I make the links bigger?
I am ashamed to admit it, but it's thank to Johannes that I found the calendarbutton . I hadn't noticed it. So maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to make them a little bigger.
Susann A.
I won’t come to Berlin for a reading this time. Click on “calendar” and you see where I’ll be reading. It’s just a matter of clicking. I believe we all should be able to click on something, and I don’t mean to suggest that you are not able to perform this task.
As to my new book: probably somewhere next year. But ask my publisher for the German market, Diogenes, for details.
I like your name, so please continue posting comments on this site.

PS I didn't see Sander's comment, so maybe it's not you --it'sthe site. So anyhow keep clicking.

Of course we can make everything bigger, but I believe this site was all about subtlety or do you need to see an eye doctor?
Probably an eye doctor is exactly what I need.
But I also realise that since your criticism is never without ground, subtlety is not my strongest point.

In that case don't hesitate and go see your eye doctor, or ask Sander to enlarge the letters. You might not be the only one with this problem.
