A Jewish prostitute

For those of you who are looking hard for explanations – The Daily Mail reports: “A brief encounter with a Jewish prostitute may have led to Hitler's genocidal Holocaust, claim psychiatrists.
They believe he may have caught the sexually transmitted disease syphilis which, if untreated, can eventually cause madness.
According to a report, mental and behavioural disturbances triggered by the advanced stages of the disease could have resulted in Hitler targeting Jews and the mentally retarded.
There is "ample circumstantial evidence" for the theory, according to a team headed by psychiatrist Dr Bassem Habeeb.
Dr Habeeb said that there had been speculation that Hitler had syphilis from diary entries made by his personal doctor, Theo Morrell.”

On a more melancholic note I have to report that my departure for Ghana has been delayed because I missed my plane. I’m stuck in Stuttgart, tomorrow I’ll try to leave again.

I think the moral of the today's post is that gut feelings, although very human, should be treated with distrust. Or at a certified physician.

You are going to Ghana? Lucky lucky you, that has got to be one of my favourite destinations on earth. Instead of heading for Elmina, go up to Volta-lake region (towards Togo), and maybe meet with the Bishop of Ho.
And: use condoms (even though the Bishop will avise you otherwise. Perhaps you can convince him that condoms prevent genocide).

I was wondering what the purpose of your visit to Ghana is. I come from there myself but I've been living in the Netherlands for almost 20 years and I haven't gone back yet, anyway, I've been a fan of yours for ages, read most of your books, finished "de geschiedenis..."for the 2nd time this morning , will start "fantoompijn" for the 2nd time this weekend... well, enjoy your stay in Ghana.

People told me once that jewish couples (the chassidim to be precise) use a blanket with a hole in it to copulate. Maybe there are some jewish women who specialize in this (and focus on the christian or moslim community, because it's all new to them).

Reason of my visit is explained in today's post (June 23) and I will write about Ghana also for NRC Handelsblad, probably, and Dens, what do you mean, "specialize in this?" You mean making love with a sheet (with holes in it) between the naked bodies can be considered a speciality? Did you try suicide and the attempt failed? This question goes back to another comment of you. I don't mean this sarcastic or ironic.

Yes, I think making love with a body that's covered is very interesting. It has some necrofeliac touch to it, but it isn't. Jew are geniusses.

A suicide attempt that failed? Not exactly, of course I've thought about killing myself, and maybe I did some idle attempts when I was 10 or 12, but that's just childfoolishness. My father attempted and succeeded. That's what I was referring to.

Maybe not, but words they say ofter more than they want to, so maybe a referring was on its place, maybe it was just too bold. Any way, I can do some referring from now on.
