Waiting for enlargement
January 2005 I met a young woman named Michela who enjoyed living to the fullest extent.
Six weeks later she disappeared. (I had invited her to travel with me to Namibia.)
But March 2006 I received a mail from Michela that she was back in town and she wondered how I was doing.
We met again, she planned to write a book, the book never came into existence, but nevertheless we saw each other on a reglar basis for dinner, and she even traveled to Amsterdam for the presentation of my novel “Tirza”.
Last Saturday we had dinner in Da Beppe in Manhattan. After dinner she invited me to come to her place and to meet her boyfriend, Mike.
Mike is a chef, although his work consists mainly of cutting meat.
While being seated next to Michela on the couch in her apartment Mike entered with a baseball bat and he threatened to kill me. Apparently he thought that Michela was kissing me or that I was kissing Michela.
He also threatened to kill himself.
Mike held me and Michela hostage for three hours – after which Michela’s brother arrived who smacked me a few times in the face because I had dishonored his family, I guess.
Shortly after I managed to escape. Michela has been silent since that day. She was waiting for a breast enlargement.

Is the drawing based on the current situation or the expected one? In order to match perfectly the drawing should have stated ‘Breasts’ instead of ‘Tits’ OR you should have wrote Tits enlargement. In any case this last comment sounds somewhat disrespectful or angry so I guess you are mostly angry at her, while she may as well still be held hostage.Noa

Again your conclusions are slightly off. This picture was the least vulgar I could find on flickr while looking for breasts and/or tits. It seems to be hard for some people not to jump to conclusions.slightly off

I am sorry I took a picture which was the least vulgar you could find and ‘read’ a massage in it which was not there. I am sorry I interpret a personal issue of a girl which you chose to share with the world as anger. I am sorry for being again slightly off.But how exactly did you manage to escape from two agressive men? Were your recent boxing lessons of any use?

Quite some gullible people pass this site (NB; Arnon, this is NOT a judgement, just a simple 'constatering'. Personally, I really like gullible people - I used to be one myself and liked myself then more than now.) In short therefore: quite some likeable people pass this site.Gullible

@Johannes - quite a few people are taking Arnon's comment on having been held hostage to be true. I'm not claiming Arnon wasn't held hostage ( he could or couldn't have been.) I'm only saying the fact that various people are so trusting shows these people are gullible. And also, it's in the nature of gullible people to believe the police are out there waiting to help us. Personally, my experiences with police aren't quite so peachy. Therefore, yet again I conclude: gullible = good. I'm jealous.

Noa,Harry Mulisch stated in his latest interview with Vrij Nederland that in the fifties the people in the Netherlands had a built-in police officer and that it has gone away. My built-in police officer is alive and kicking, but unfortunately most of the time he is a bad cop, who isn't willing to listen to compliments you made to the gullible.
Your remark that people here swallow everything as quick as your homemade apple pie is to be taken seriously.
To say that people are gullible, only based on comments of people on Arnon's story about the hostage is pretty strange, not to say bizarre.
You also refer to the comment that mentioned the local police. The wish for justice is not gullible. I also doubt the police could protect everything but that's not the point here, let alone that you personally had some nasty experiences with a police officer.
So more proof is welcome.

I have nothing to add to the discussion about gullible people, except maybe for the statement that gullible is a nice word.As to the discussion about the police: there’s not one police and there’s not one judicial system. The man who held me hostage threatened to press charges against me because I had trespassed on his property. Of course I didn’t, but I didn’t want to waste time and I didn’t want to wait for the NYPD to show up. The NYPD is a beautiful police force but if I can survive without their help I prefer to do so, although I’m not black.

I believe his story about the strokes he received, although there was a slight smell of drama to it. Does that make me gullible?I didn't want to believe him using Gotham limousine as a car service. I dislike such limo's and the people using them really give me a toothache. Maybe here I really proved to be gullible.
And what about his reputation that he's a whore-hopper? In this site he never showed the slightest inclination of being one, but then I always thought that also to be pure fantasy. In my eyes it's Pablo Van Dijk who sound's to be one. But now I'm perhaps being gullible again.
And even if everything about his reputation is true, he being a whore-hopper, being homosexual, being unfriendly, and arrogant and a liar , even then I wouldn't give a damn. I still would think he's O.K..

I don'tplan he was planning to kill himself with the baseball bat. There are many ways to commit suicide.I’m not sure if he entered hos apartment with the baseball bat, or if he grabbed a baseball that was standing somewhere in a corner.
