Undercover

The rest of my life

This is the view from my window. (More or less.)
Sometimes I think I’ll stay here for the rest of my life, cleaning rooms, tapping beer, serving guests their breakfast.
In other words sometimes I think I’ll be undercover for the rest of my life.
But there are moments that I’m afraid that all my colleagues just act that they believe in my cover because they don’t want to spoil something beautiful.
Or maybe they are also undercover. Who knows.

Colleagues who do not spoil something beautiful are colleagues to cherish. Being a waiter, you are an undercover writer, when being a writer, are you not an undercover waiter? In the end some people will believe neither. Not a bad view, have a nice stay, Anton.

I find it hard to believe that a hotel would give up such a view for a chambermaid. Either this isn't a view from your room, are you are renting.

While I was typing this, a Russian girl walked by, I had to stop and look at her the whole time. She asked for it. I like Russian girls, they're playfull.

She wore pumps, a one piece short dress and walked in such a way that you cannot think differently than "she'll need new hips in 20 years". Her pace was slow, she didn't even look at me. But I was the only one sitting in the lobby. She walked by, pretended to haven taken the wrong turn, and turned back.

Perhaps writers are always undercover, by definition.
I have heard them say that they do not really live, unless they write. So when life happens on their laptop (or in their notebooks), real life becomes an undercover experience, pretending to live the life of a writer (or a chamber maid).

I was undercover yesterday, but I'm not too sure about today. It gets terribly confusing after a while. All my family members are undercover though, that's for sure. So is the cat.
