Public

Whatever

This afternoon I became an honorary member of the Society of Dutch Literature, my mother would have been proud but I’d like to be knighted in the near future.

Afterwards there was a public discussion about Dutch literature in the age of globalization.

“Does the author need to be a cosmopolite?” was one of the questions asked by the chair.

I would say, the author is allowed to be whatever he wants as long as his books are readable, preferably a bit more than just readable.
