Arnon Grunberg

Modest

Certain

Tonight I was member of jury for a certain literary award. From a psychological and sociological perspective it was interesting, even though real drama was mostly absent.
The food was good and pleasantly modest. Around 10 p.m. we had a winner and we could go home. It struck me that probably juries decide about matters of life and death in the same more or less detached manner.
