They will see me again

Comforter in Chief

President Bush is referred to as the Comforter in Chief in an article in the International Herald Tribune: ‘“Since the day in September 2001 when he stood on a charred fire truck with a bullhorn in the smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center, much has been made of Bush's role as comforter in chief. He has consoled victims of floods, wildfires and tornadoes. But in his family meetings, the comforting works both ways.”’

God is evoked as well: ‘God is a frequent topic. Robert Lehmiller, also of Salt Lake City, says the president brought religion into the conversation, telling him, "If you truly believe the Scriptures, you will see your son again."’

Recently I declared that I would not participate in literary events in the Netherlands anymore. Now I can add: If the booksellers and organizers of literary awards truly believe the Scriptures they will see me again. If they don’t see me their believe was not deep enough.

Of course you can only return on your own strict conditions now - A F Th style – for example, sitting on a throne with 10 dancing dwarfs around you and at least one female minister praising her, sorry, your work.
Arnon leves us hanging with the sleepers
Nice shop Arnon. Can't find the clients suggestions?
I was very dissapointed that you didn't flew a 747 into Palace t'Loo.
Or at least a taxi. But to come with a killer in your hands was a masterpiece.
Who would suspect that an innocent looking child would be contracted.
However for us newshungry clients its disapointing that you won't stirr up the sleeping elite in the near future.
Tip: For your next bookrelease jump of the Twintowers, Sales will sore.
Forget Ireland and check out Malta.
Are those the new or the old scriptures? Or is Scriptures a code I don't understand yet?
Arnon will finally be God, he will always be everywhere but only the believers will see him, nice thought!
Or being nowhere and yet seen by everybody or even not existing and yet being adored and winning prices.
@Wuffy
Your comments remind me of Murakami, I just read his "After Dark" and I liked it a lot. This is my blurb
Mailer
Two things i've read today stick out, the first was the passing away of Norman Mailer.
The second Mr. Grunberg's deciscion not to participate in literary events in the Netherlands anymore. Bwah ! As always I try to find a connection, Not appearing = no Chutzpah, Mailer = Chutzpah ? mmmmm, no.
Then it dawned, of course, the naked and the dead, but now stationed in Afganistan. can't wait.
