Date night

Number

Through a minor snow storm I arrived in Delta, one of the more melancholy towns I've ever been to.
Last year I visited a few towns in Arizona the were fairly gloomy, but at last the sun was shining there, no Delta in the rain is special.
The Mexican restaurant next to the motel was around 8 p.m. occupied by two people, an elderly couple. I bet it was their date night.
A friend sent me a Bukowski poem, the last lines:

the phone has only rung once;
wrong number.
