Work ethic
My godson is visiting and therefore my living room is partly transformed into a switchyard.
But his love for trains is nothing compared to his love for an entity named Bob the Builder.
I’m not sure yet what Mr. The Builder exactly represents, except for a certain manliness and a well-developed sense of work ethic.
If I’m well informed Bob the Builder has a fiancée, but her qualities seem mainly to consist of manliness as well.

There is a whole website about this BoB, even in Dutch! A long time ago, first we – the boys - had Meccano and then Lego. I liked Lego, building fortresses and so.
Jan, I liked Lego too but I built houses and villages. Together with my brothers we invented whole storyboards. A wonderful time.

I´m sure that in the following days you wiil come to know Bob the Bilder quite well. Well enough to see that the empathy is one of his greatest characteristiscs . And i´m not quite sure if thats´s something which could be connected with manliness but rather with idealised human nature.Well enjoy the time of Mr. Bob, it´s much more pleasant than scary Play station (at age of 5!)
Bob must inspire kids to develop love for construction and other techical work. These days less and less people are willing to apply for these jobs. With Bob on TV we will have enough technical people in the future.

My fiancee, artist, did not grow up with Bob. Since he is planning to travel to cape north with an old Volvo in february, i think Bob would have been helpfull. My godson recently told his mother that he will be able to pay for her bills within a couple of years. Nevertheless his mother is complaining a lot that he is making his clothes dirty.Arnon
According to Laura, dirty clothes are the halmark of a good worker.Somehow I believe your godson when he's saying he will take care of his mothers bills in a few years. I thought him to be a very determined young child.

Arnon,Recently my daughter informed me that besides her manliness, Bob's fiancée (nicely put) Wendy, is also quite adept at baking cakes from all kinds of material, mainly building materials

Laura went to school in the City. Is your godson by any chance looking for an educational consultant?Go for the French schoolsystem in NY. I know a young lady who went through the French School system in NY and completed her baccalaureat in Strassbourg. She's one of the most grounded, open and happiest people I know and on top of it: she's now a doctor.
