Party
Without his mother
My godson’s mother went to a party tonight. So I was in charge of him this afternoon and I’ll be in charge of him tonight.
My companion suggested we bake "poffertjes" for my godson.
This idea delighted him.

It looks like somebody in this kitchen auditioned for Idols... Is it you, Arnon?
Albert Heijn forever!
A nice little family you have, Arnon.
Would you believe I never tasted "poffertjes" in my life.
Mieke
Poffertjes are equal as tasty as pancakes and crepes, maybe tastier.
With butter and flowery sugar, it's heaven.
Also good are Wentelteefjes with brown sugar.
The best way to celebrate an Autumn afternoon. I like the Autumn better than Summer, especially in Amsterdam. I really like my city in this season.

At least it looks like a kitchen, not like a library ( the New York apartment).

When I was a kid I ate "poffertjes" every Wednesday afternoon with my father. They are delicious.

What are you hinting at?
Needless to say this is not my kitchen.
This is the kitchen of five or six young women and rabbit.
For your sake I'll attach a picture of the rabbit.

"Wentelteefjes" I know. In West-Flanders we call them "klakkaerts". Our special treat during summer camps with the Girl Scouts.
The rabbit looks like a "Vlaamse Reus". Am I right?
Mieke
To me the rabbit looks like a dog.
I wonder what is her/his name.
I have two cats. The first one is called Igor, the other one Stravinsky.
What a rabbit, he may take your godson to wonderland !(By the way, my cat is called Flippo).

On the door of the fridge is an Idols number sticker that I think was used for the auditions. It made me curious. I know you didn't perform for the jury but I wondered how it would have been.
Arnon
Did you get the chance to read him a bed-time story? If so, which one did you tell?
Sander
It's one of Marieke's roommates.

My companion read him from a book his mother had bought him that day. I believe the title was: "We will always be together."
On the book
A rather disturbing title.

Poffertjes and a pet rabbit, the perfect ingredients for a pleasant Sunday!
The rabbit is too large or the boy is too small. Please adjust your camera settings accordingly.
