Daughters
Under your arm
According to my schedule I would be interviewed by Sheldon Kirshner this morning. Around 9 o’clock a woman working for Penguin Publishers called me. “We cannot escort you to Mr. Kirshner, please walk around in the hotel lobby with your book under your arm so that Mr. Kirshner can find you.”
In the end a Penguin representative appeared in the hotel lobby and escorted me straight to Mr. Kirshner.
The conversation with Mr. Kirshner was pleasant. After an hour Mr. Kirshner said: “My daughter is an actress and an author. She is here at the festival. Her name is Mia Kirshner."
Then he asked me to sign a copy of my book for his youngest daughter, whose novel will be published next year.

A nice bunch of women.
@Arnon, do you like the concept of having a few duaghters? Talented, lively and beautiful daughters? As their father, you entertain yourself with the thought that it's you helping them with your connections. You think they need you, when in fact, they're more than capable of selling themselves. Sometimes I wonder, if you had a daughter, would you cook for her?

I would like my daughters to cook for me.@Arnon, it is said people can taste love (or the lack of it) through food that is prepared for them. Are you merely interested in consuming love or do you enjoy giving it too? This is essentially what I'm wondering.

I think the father was hinting at that.Usually mothers keep an eye out for a good wedding partner for their unmarried daughters.
I notice a stronger coherence between posts. In the old days you had "personal things", "meetings" and "war", but the remained quite seperate, I thought, but in these recent weeks, I seem to discover a Rode Draad. Am I dreaming this? Who's with me?
Hmm, I think the coherence is the author, with quite a nice style, like:
Today I walked along the street. I saw a tree, with leaves. They were green.
I remembered I had a nice lunch with a publisher from Greenland.
A dog barked in the distance.

You should follow Joep's advice. Date her. She's gorgious goodlooking, she writes and she is Jewish. Your mother would approve of it.It could never work out for us. Your just too good for me.
