Shame

Injury

This morning, while waiting for my luggage in Frankfurt a young woman could not lift her suitcase from the belt. She was wearing a grey top, tight jeans and boots.
I was standing next to her so I felt obliged to help the young woman, but unfortunately I could not get her suitcase from the belt either.
Next to me stood a tiny man, balding, father of a young daughter and he lifted the suitcase without much effort.
Once in Geneva I could not lift my own suitcase from the belt. A lady had to come to my help.
When I have to choose between physical injury and shame I always choose shame.

typical thing...maybe a little power lifting for mister Grunberg?
What a lady! Did you praise her strength?
(For some reason, if ever, I mostly attract fierce women.)
Interesting, most people choose to lie instead of having to face the shame that honesty would bring. Does this choice for shame only apply for avoiding physical injury?
We both were backstage at De Nachten yesterday, but you were always in a hurry. Too bad. And as I remember correctly, you came with Mayu and left without.

I'm sorry I missed you.
Mayu was very tired, he left early.

My mother feels pity for you that you rarely have a homecooked meal. Therefore she invites you the next time you are in Belgium to have diner at our place. The invitation comes ofcourse along for your extended family too.

Is your mother a good cook?
I don't want to brag, but my mother is a very good cook. She deserves more than one star for her private dinners.
