I'm glad you've turned to your actual name since I value truthfulness highly.
Which is why I would like to press upon the fact that Mayli is my real name. Also, I have never in the past and will never in the future write on this blog under any other name. I've never intended to disappear or to "stick my tongue out and then run off" as you've quoted Rutger so precisely. It just so happens that I rarely visit the site.
I really wish that there would be a blog that could catch my interest - catch it and never let it fall but so far I'm hoping in vain.

The machine we bought for Arnon is the 20" iMac, with 2 GB RAM and 320 GB harddrive. It has an Intel processor, as do all Apple machines since a few years, not a G5.

Arnons old computer is for sale on Ebay. Get it this collectors item now for $200. The only requirement is that you pick it up personally in NY, because it would be too cumbersome to ship. If you can get any company to do this for you, that is fine too, but you are on your own on this one.

Believe it or not, I'm about to get a 20" 2.4 GHz iMac myself. I would recommend upgrading the memory to 4GB, which you can do for about $60.

It is a beautiful machine. The screen is really sharp. We had no time to wait, but rumors say an update of the iMac line is due in a few weeks. So if you can wait, you can get more iMac for your dollars.

The RAM might be a good idea although Arnons needs are simple. Mostly word processing (surprise!). We added a Time Capsule for Wifi and Time Machine backups.
