Ronald

John

In his eulogy on Updike Adam Gopnik remarks: “He [Updike AG] wrote of Reagan that he was like God: you never knew what he knew, everything or nothing.” If God actually were Ronald Reagan (I know this is not what John Updike meant to say) many mysteries would be solved.
You can always tell your son or daughter: “Kid, this is how Ronald Reagan wanted it to be.”

Let's not confuse Ronald Reagan and Elvis.
Maybe it didn't make a difference whether he knew everything or nothing.

You mean God, don't you?
Arnon
I am not sure.

Did you read Angels in America?
At work, I use to say about Ronald Raegan like types: ‘He is beyond knowledge. He is a Zen master’.

Being beyond knowlegde must be a state of bliss.
Bernard
What do you mean with "beyond knowledge": To know everything or to realize that knowledge is useless - or do you think it's the same?
@Teresa
‘Beyond knowledge’ is difficult to put in words, although one can never know everything, nor is knowledge ever useless. How does a baby look at the world? Or an animal?
I would rather call it an experience or a bliss.
I think everybody can experience it, even for a few seconds.
