Distraction
Fast
“I made a drawing for you,” said my godson to my mother.
“What is it?” my mother asked.
“Eh, I don’t know” he said. “I guess it’s a camel. But the camel goes very fast. That’s why you can't see him.”
Yesterday I took my godson to my mother. It turned out to be an enchanting afternoon.
I told my mother that I would leave for Iraq soon, but she was very much distracted by my godson.

Mothers
Perhaps to you're mother, like to all mothers, offspring feels like spring, and she'd considers you're godson to be a bit like her grandson.
By the way: the camel on this picture would do nicely as a symbol of pacifism on a pacifistic Plaestina advertisement.
Good for all of you. I'm glad she finally invited him at her home. He's an enchanting little fellow.
I sometimes think "Mieke is too close to Mr. Arnon".
Dens
You have access to the same information as I have. Just read his work.
Godson already has the gift of speech too, besides drawing, music and decapitating chickens, if I remember correctly. A talented boy in a good environment.
Yoiks!
Superluminal camels? Wait'll the boys at the Pentagon hear about this.

I doubt it if this is a Palestinian landsacape. I wanted to write that what will pacifiy the Palestinians will be rather a successful economy than a western (colonialist stereotype) Sinai nirvana, but what do I know?

May i advise you to re-read what you just wrote to me and maybe reinterpretate whatever it is you are suggesting? because i simply don't get it.
I wasnt suggesting the landscape in the picture is a Palestinian one (neither am i suggesting the smiling camel is a jew).
Kevino
I know.
Peace.
Sorry, it is on his blog on Friday the 23th January ‘Doodstl’
Kevino
I forgot to add the word "image" as symbol. I think I understood you quite well. All I'm trying to say is just let the Palestinians choose whatever image they want to represent and not force on them anything we'd like to see.
Neria
O.k.
After reading your first respons in a tipsy state i understood; but this is an uncomfortable truth. Excuse me for my own (spelling) mistakes in the first response above. Do you think (all) the Palestinians would hate to see themselves as smiling camels? Probably most of them, though most jews i know laugh at the image of reflecting on themselves as smiling camels.
Interesting thought, but indeed: let the Palestinians choose... LET them choose.
By the way:
That post before [ i know. peace.] sounded like the painfull yet true anticlimax of an A-rated romantic novel.
Kevino
It was a pun (peace=salaam=shalom) which meant to say I didn't wish to argue. I'm a smiling camel. Sander is lately obsessed with my exact image, here's a nice image for him: I'm a pacified grinning camel. Thank you Kevino! :)

We missed you tonight. We have been looking for you, but you were not around.
Love,Mieke
Arnon
Thanks for the evening. I enjoyed it, but still I think the Tirza bookpresentation in the Vooruit in Ghent was better. This one lacked the passion and the emotions of the Tirza event.
Arnon
Maybe Dens is right and I have been too familiar with you. In any case I think it's time for me to take some distance again. I enjoyed this blog very much, it was mainly a big ,virtual game for me,but it gave me also the opportunity to get to know you a bit better. At least , that's what I think. So again, thank you, but from now on , it's time for me to be silent. This doesn't mean I'll stopreading your work.
Sincerely, Mieke
Schnitzel,
All very true but the nose piercing.
Dear Mieke,
I was sick and lonely on my couch.

January 12? But "Dendermonde" happened on January 23.
No better way to free yourself from too protective mums than to bring a godson or -daughter.
Mieke + Mr. Arnon
Mieke, I'm sorry that my words are causing you to part, that was never my intention. I think it is cute that you're so close to Mr. Arnon. I somethimes think I am to close to Mr. Arnon, but then I think "oh well no. I am not" and that's the truth as well.
Mr. Arnon, I'm very pleased with my first autographed book for own usage. My sister doesn't seem to be very much affected by your affection anymore. About the thing you wrote in my Jewish Messiah she said "he probably meant "Waar blijft Jezus"."
@Arnon
Underneath I made the correction, the date is indeed the 23th January. on his blog.
@Mieke
On this blog, I think, everything is temporary, even our absences. So see you later, take care.
Bernard
When I checked his site, on February 2, Gaza and Dendermonde were nowhere to be found.
Dens
Maybe I have even been probing too much. A little distance might help. Don't blame yourself.
Besides I had the feeling , I was playing a too prominent role. It's time to leave space for others to join.
Sander, Johannes
To my own surprise, parts of the film of the female mudwrestling event were projected on a big screen fridayevening. Jan Hoet, the Belgian artpope, considered it art. Good, don't you think so?
Mieke
Great!
It depends on the definition of art though.
If the market decides what art is; there are still a few DVD's of the event left.
Maybe it means we will all be famous once we're dead.
DVD
This is hilarious!
