Hope

Not for us

Shortly before leaving for Miami, Buenos Aires and hopefully Paraguay I tried to pick up my clothes at the dry cleaner around corner.
A man in his fifties, almost completely bald, said to a female customer, also in her fifties: “This has been a long year.” Since management changed at this dry cleaner getting your clothes back is somewhere close to a miracle. We were all waiting.
The man continued: “Ten December last year my misery started.” The woman wanted to be polite I guess and answered: “That’s a long time to be miserable.” Later that evening I had dinner with Michela. A young woman who makes a living as a dancer, kind of, and who is addicted to drama in her life.
As Kafka said to his friend Max Brod: “There is hope, but not for us.”

Recently I’ve read “Imaginary friend really help children though rough times” Why not go back to our childhood recourses and have an imaginary friend? I propose Jesus, why not? I even like to share this friend with you, Mr. Grunberg, so there will be always be hope for you, for me and even for all you out there.
Never underestimate the power of the imaginary.

My imaginary friend is called "the future". He (It?) helps me through rough times. An eye on "everything will work out juuuuust fine" is my friend. Otherwise I would've died a long time ago. Even when I was young, the future was my friend, the past my nemesis. But then I heard this saying: Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.. That didn't please my imaginairy friend, I can tell you. But enough about me. Let's all sob for the bald man at the drycleaners.
What's this picture? 50 and 3? It intriges me.
Hope is for the lonely people
I want to see the three ugly ones,
just like I want to see the walking man you wrote, talked, about in De Avonden.
What you see on the picture, Dens, is a strip club in Seattle.
P.S. Have a safe trip.
This stripclub must have the best marketeer in the US of A. I always wanted to visit seattle, this stripclub only adds up!
Kafka was right
+ can hope exist without drama?
and I only take an imaginary friend when he is not too noisy
sharing
I don't feel like sharing imaginary friends, I apologize but it's just not my cup of tea.
