Intermission

Suicide

This afternoon I took my godson and his mother to the ballet. We saw “Romeo and Juliet” – choreography by Morgann Runacre-Temple.
It wasn’t exactly avant-garde, but these times aren’t made for avant-garde – the show was entertaining enough.
And although I regretted the fact that there was no live music I enjoyed Prokofiev, above all “The dance of the Knights.”

My godson declared during the intermission that he wanted to go home, but I made him see the show till the bitter end, which he enjoyed. Even though he objected to the double suicide.

Tough love.
Cruel Shakespeare.
Personally, I think these times are very in need of avant garde. a new project -for this old world - that revitalises and renews. A new creed for the creation of the homo ludens.
I do want to see the Anselm Kiefer exhibition in Antwerp.
