(For even me, normally a tense and nervous person, when I occasionally behaved calm and easy going, was asked a few times by women in a quite serious tone ‘Are you a pro too ?’ – first I thought they were joking)

Elite and populist

This, Arnon, is the easiest site to comment on what you said in various media. I was so glad to read in De Volkskrant yesterday that you agree with James Kennedy that the elite can be as disquieting as the populist.

You disagreed with Kennedy's about his confidence in the wisdom of the masses and referred to Bryan Caplan's The myth of the rational voter, who unmasked Surowiecki's faulty math.

One point should be added, I think: it is not only true that people are able to decide about their own life, they are also good at taking the right decision about things, events, and people they have experience with and are concerned about (Gerben Westerhof: Statements and Stories, 1998).

By the way: aren't you too big to fail?
