Leaving

Paint

Shortly before I’m leaving for Berlin, Germany, my godson decides to be the Indian he was meant to be.
My hairdresser Christian cut my hair and we (godson, mother and me) had quick lunch at Nicole Farhi. My godson didn’t like the fact that I was about to leave again.
While I’m in Europe my apartment will be painted -- for the first time in twelve years. (My godson and his mother will take care of this. I wonder what my apatment will look like afterwards.) I don’t care for paint. But well -- you have to make an effort to pass for civilized.

Why can't we leave pictures on here? I'd like to show-off my nephew and unofficial godson who's about equally as cute as yours.
Tess
Ask Sander, but I don't think this site should become another flickr. On the other hand: for your nephew we might make an exception.
Flickr
Tess, Arnon is giving a very good suggestion. Why don't you upload the picture to Flickr and then post a link here?
Nice picture.
By the way,
Your column in Humo about Seung-Hui Cho was logical and nevertheless went straight to the heart. I also appreciated the kind of oriental smile at the end, a smile not out of irony but more out of polite despair.
As the French say: Chapeau!
Beautiful sachem! A little timid maybe in spite of his great achievements. Show him where you will be on the globe (better than a map) and don't forget to bring along a little souvenir for him.
@Arnon&Sander, I'll consider it. Then again: maybe my nephew will want to become America's Next Top Male Model or first non-American president of America and then he might not be so happy his aunt posted pictures of him 'way back when'... I just wanted to semi-privately share them with 'my commentating friends'. And I'd be interested to see what pictures commentators add to their comments.

My nephew
Okay, I've figured it out (and the solution is - to not use his name) so here he is:

He is cute but what does the Dutch flag do on his forehead?

My sister took him to the Middle East and was scared he'd be mistaken for a Danish baby.
@all- sorry, that was me using Aliefka's name. I've been diagnosed MPS. Soon I'll be commenting under my favourite alter: Maximilian. (Obviously, I just blew my cover. Shit.)
I'd like to see some holiday pics of the commentators.
(I'm planning to upload a picture of my dad drinking beer making a strange gesture, my dad is cute as hell you know, he also has a mustache)
effort
Children like the one in the picture show us what effort we are willing to make to pass for civilized.
The only matter being discussed here is one of the biggest efforts: looking good.
Too bad Tess' picture has already been deleted.
Being in Turkey, working with people, I realise I can fall in love with them.
