Departure

Alcohol

Day fourteen in the mental institution – my last night. A fellow patient and a psychiatric nurse prepared a lovely dinner in honor of my departure, penne with seafood and rice pudding. There was even wine, which is here usually only available on Christmas. Patients are allowed to go to a bar and have a few drinks, but on the premises the use of alcohol is not encouraged. Which doesn’t mean of course that there is no booze on our ward.
I’m not sure if I’m happy to leave tomorrow.
