Messiah

Hungarian

As you can see the cover of the Hungarian edition of “The Jewish Messiah” is rather different from the covers of the other editions.
Hopefully tonight I’ll meet my mysterious Hungarian publisher.
I cannot explain why he is mysterious, but believe me he is.

That tongue intrigues me, but I can't say why.
It is really scary. It has an attractive horror like some works of the Swiss artist HR Giger. Maybe your publisher is acquaintance of him?
... and the chill of Pasolini’s Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma, not to forget the eyes of Hannibal Lector...and so on. Indeed a mysterious character, your publisher.
Spoiler alert
Is that supposed to be Awromole's face after he's tasted Xavier's one eyed jack? IF so, it spoils a lot, if not, I like the cover. The flag looks like an arabic scarf (around the head), which gives it a non meaning meaning.
Wow.
Heavy.
Publishers should come up with more eyecatchers like that.
Moreover I think it suits your novel well: slightly over the top.
Just slightly.
