The African Eye

Mr. Degla

Tonight at the reading at Bookstore Graff I spotted a young, black man in the audience. He turned out to be an author named Luc Degla. (If you don’t read German you are going to need a dictionary for this link.)
Mr. Degla asked most of the questions, bought almost all my books, and gave me his own book “Das Afrikanische Auge” or in English “The African Eye.” Not only because of Mr. Degla, but also because of him I decided to give the reading tonight a 8.5.
Unfortunately you won’t see Mr. Degla on this picture, because he was seated very much to the left. (Or to the right, depending on your point of view.)

Dear Arnon,
I noticed ( I have no excuse as to why I did notice) that many if not all of the ladies in the front row these past few days, are not wearing any wedding rings. Have any advances or even proposals been made yet on this literary tour, or has so far all been quite platonic?

Mr. Degla seems to be a very nice person. Do let us know what you think of his book.
@ Arnon
I still want to thank you for 'Socrates'. It's an excellent book and I enjoyed reading it. An immaculate hard cover edition, published at a very young age.
There should be more publishers like that.
Arnon
Than there was another young black man on the photograph. Look. Very much to the right.
Mr. Degla
Thanks Arnon, it was Mr. Kampa who gave me your book in Leipzig. I found it very good. And I like your comment about the reading. Best wishes.
