Questions

Kids

Tonight I had a public conversation with Zadie Smith. Afterwards we drank two cocktails. Sometimes it’s hard to say what’s the best part of the conversation, before, during of after the public interview. I would say: after, but the cocktails may have been important.
One quote from “NW”: “This is one of the things you learn in a courtroom: people generally get what they deserve. You know, one advantage of kids is you don’t have so much time to sit in hammocks getting depressed about these kinds of abstract questions.”

Another reason to procreate: to get rid of abstract questions.

(And read “NW” – it’s worth your while.)
