Upon arrival

Medicine

A few hours after arrival in La Paz the altitude sickness conquered me.
Fortunately there is a medicine that actually works. It is called Sorojchi Pills, a good name for a drug that claims to heal altitude sickness.

I don't understand why it should be a good name for such pills.
Come down.
And Dens, did you take care of your little problem by now? You've got me worried.
Yes, this morning I went to the Kusadasi hospital to find out that my bullet had escaped me while I was asleep. The cost was 129 euro, they wanted to take me in for a day (observation they said), but I've read that they only do it to claim extra money.

For some reason the access to my own blogsite is prohibited from now on.

Welcome to La Paz
Blog censor
I know now why I can't access my blog. I can't read the site that explains, but this is what Google shows me (no cache either).

"Turkey censors Wordpress; blogs can't be accessed I Clipmarks
It says: "Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no; 2007/195 of TC fatih 2. Civil Court of First Instance."..."

Meanwhile, down here below sea-level: we are treated to a picture of you and your 'amante' sheltering from rain on the streets of Amsterdam (for those interested: Het Parool). Quite lovely.
Dens did you find your bullet yet? Otherwise there is still the possibility it's migrating in your body.
Try to chew some coca leaves to ease any future symptoms of altitude sickness.
altitude sounds like attitude ... i wonder if they fix that too?!
No, no please, I do not mean cocaine. That will surely leave you with a serious attitude problem.
Jan Thys do not worry. I was referring to the pills not the coca. I think attitude, especially severe cases, will be difficult to treat homoeopathically.
Ilanit, who's attitude? Yours or Arnon's?
Dens
Sorojchi sounds very exotic, to my ears at least. Altitude sickness is I would argue an exotic sickness, people who were born here usually don't get this sickness. I'm glad that they didn't use the name Sorojchi for a drug that fights acne, to name a less exotic disease.
Your story about the bullet urges the reader to suspend his disbelief. Till now I didn't manage to suspend my disbelief completely.
I'll mail Johannes the picture.

Ilanit is upset because I refused to marry her within in the next twelve months, that's all. The best thing is to ignore her for a while. She is not a bad person, she is just confused.
Jan T
Coca leaves don't do it for me.
Dens
Did you contact the censor about your blog?
Who's the censor and how can I contact hım? Isn't he already aware?
Mieke
who's attitude you think is in greater need? And ignoring me is not necessary. Really. I got over his rejection already.
@ Ilanit
You are looking for rejection where there is none.
Mieke
Some people thrive on rejection.
@Arnon
Did you try coca leaves or coca tea? It is highly recommended in the region to heal altitude sickness (It is only a stimulant as is the caffeine in the pills). You do not have to answer for some obvious reasons.
Mieke
some people don't
Jan Thys
Mate de coca doesn't do the trick for me, but I do like the taste of the tea.
Ilanit
Are you trying to suggest that you are not thriving momentarily?
thriving
I might suggest I’m thriving despite your unwillingness to simply acknowledge the fact that you’ve missed me?!
Sorochi Pills contain Aspirine and Caffeine, so a cup of coffee and an aspirine could also do the job...
