Small
Two
The literary festival for which I traveled to La Paz is the smallest I have ever been to.
It consists of two writers: the Bolivian author Wilmer Urrelo and me.
Wilmer doesn’t speak a word of English, but till now I like him.
And the Dutch cultural attaché is rather warm-hearted for a cultural attaché.
For unknown reasons the wireless internet connection in the hotel stops working several times a day. In other words you have to be lucky -- while waiting for Wi-Fi I’m rereading Coetzee.

Is the attaché a woman?
Dens
No, and thanks for the photo you are going to mail to Johannes. Could you include a copy of the doctor's report?
It's not that I distrust you, it's something I would call common policy.
I don't have a doctors report. I don't think there is one. If I would've lied about it, I would make it more interesting, I think.
My dad's a (rather - 'was' until exactly one week ago) cultural attaché. No further comment other than I enjoyed 'Het Aapje dat Geluk Pakt'.

This is not a convincing argument.
Mrs. Bijlsma
In which country is your dad working at the moment?
Mr. Grunberg
He was based in Moscow, until a week ago.
Kind Regards
Youth
I once gave a copy of Coetzee's book to a dear friend, who is an Eritrean refugee with a beautiful name.
Het said the book had moved him to tears.
I am somewhat afraid to read it.
@ Dens
Was it an 'luchtbuksgeweer' your friend used to shoot you down? You know the one people use at the fair. It sounds like that.
Yes, an aırrrfle 4,5mm. nothıng serıous.
@Mr. Arnon: I've lıed too much ın my lıfe to care ıf one belıeves me or not, Sorry.
Dens
You should have informed us that it was not a real gun. I saw the picture, you have a beautiful stomach.
Mrs. Bijlsma
Moscow, thanks for the info.
Did your father retire?
If you'd like to communicate further on this issue, please email me at
mail@aliefka.comI don't mind making a fool out of myself on the web, it's both the curse and the blessing of having a name nobody else has. But it might be wise to leave my family out of the publicly accessible equation.
Mrs. Bijlsma
I'll send you a mail.
@Dens
Glad to know you are better. Do not forget, an air gun shoots pellets not bullets.
An airrifle is a real gun if it can shoot, I think. I did mention the 4.5mm, any google search would've told you it was an airrifle. Sometimes I do use hyperboles to brighten things up, yes.
I'll remember the pellets.
Dens
I might be a demi-virgin when it comes to guns but you cannot expect the reader to use google to clarify your intentionally vague comments.
Nevertheless I wish you a quick recovery.
I googled it. That's how I came up with the airrifle.
I thought you liked my vagueness..
But logic reasoning woul've brought you a whole end, knowing that 9mm is one of the smallest handguns and this was 4.5mm, half of it..
