Child-author
Israel Ipenza Echeverria
Last night we had the biggest presentation of the smallest literary festival I have ever been to.
(Also the book fair of La Paz is recommended for anyone interested in small book fairs.)
Not only the two authors answered questions and read a few minutes from their novels, children also read stories.
There was a kid named Israel Ipenza Echeverria who called himself ‘a child-author’. (Israel is a fairly common name for boys in Bolivia.)
He had published himself two of his books, one called “Historias Para Amar”.
After the event he gave me his books and we exchanged e-mail addresses.
It was moving.

Child Author
I am fairly curious about this child author. I was very interested in writing a book myself at that age and kept it up till I was 18. It just never happened....
So I think I can relate to the fact that you were 'moved' by the boy . I'm just offering a suggestion here: would it be possible for you to include a section from the book.
I think a lot of us would like to be moved in that way...
Thank you
@Arnon "FYI"
Fine.
We never met.
But now i know where i got the toiletknowledge from. Theo Maassen.
If a boy at that age has the motivation and the guts to pull through such an achievement I wonder what will become of him later. How is your godson btw?
Child author
Have you seen his parents or tutors? I think no child can do anything without permission or stimulation from the elderly.
My mother informed me that a package from Arnon Grunberg from Holland arrived. I want to thank the Belgian-Holland post and the sender as well.
I think I might have a corresponcence with this young lad.

I saw his mother.
Mail from Israel
I got an e-mail back of this little fellow. It's maybe four times the size of what I wrote to him. At first sight it looks like a prewritten mail (he talks about his grandmother, his mother, his unpublished works and all. He sounds nice. He's eleven.
