This afternoon the Dutch launch of Rem Koolhaas' book "Elements of architecture" ("book" might not be the right word, the object is a collaboration with Irma Boom) took place in a rather pleasant part of Amsterdam. I was asked to say a few words, I wrote and then read a story about "Scalalogia" - the academic investigation into all the stairs.
The crowd was pleasant, the book sold like hot cakes and most people behaved utterly civilized.
