I have to tell them sometimes that it’s okay to use the words ‘vulva’, ‘penis,’ or ‘clitoris.’ A young woman called me to talk about a sexual problem, I invited her into my office and just the idea that she had to talk about her sexual problem gave her an anxiety attack.”
