Reckless and charming

Handwritten

The taxi was an old Volkswagen Beetle.
We were just looking for a ride to the pier but the driver convinced us of taking a tour.
Not long after the beginning of the tour we had an accident.
Although our driver was a charming man with a charming car, he had engaged in reckless driving. And even after the accident he didn’t seem willing to change his habit.
He drove backwards on a highway to pick up his bumper.
And the end of the trip I left him a huge tip, because I felt sorry for him and his bumper. He handed me in return a handwritten business card.
His name was Sr. Carlos Lopez C.
I hope I'll meet Mr. Carlos Lopez again, although I decided not to hire him for my ride to the airport tonight.

@Arnon, what brings you to Lima this time?
Noa
Let's say unfinished business. But also I'm on my way to Chile and Bolivia.
Which of those countries do you find most interesting? It seems a country like Brazil is not on your map. Why?
I wish you a happy christmas.
@ Johannes
Thanks for the parcel. Merry christmas.
To you too Sander.
Joyful Chanoeka and merry Christmas. Or Chrismoeka, as one once said.
Noa
I spent last winter a fw days in Brazil, and in the winter of 2003 I was ten days in Sao Paulo. On the other hand I have never been to Venezuela or Ecuador, whereas my cleaning lady is from Ecuador.
I was heard a very serious leftist philosopher declare very seriously that everyone should hire a cleaning lady from another culture as it is the best way to get to know other cultures.

Merry christmas!
