Couch surfing

Berlin Hauptbahnhof

The couch surfing adventure has started – if adventure is the right word for this.
On the picture you see the bed that was offered to me by the benign Marianne and Guy.
Sander, designer of this site, is accompanying me. Basically he is he producer of this trip, he found the people willing to offer us a bed or at least a place to crash.
While I’m writing this at Berlin Hauptbahnhof he is sitting next to me and enjoying an Italian sandwich.

Indeed you talked about ‘couch surfing’ last year on this site, I remember but I forgot you have a habit to turn your words into deeds. The old hippy trail, enjoy it.
PS. Kind regards to Sander. I am also enjoying a sandwich now.

Actually this is for a series of articles for NRC Handelsblad.
@Arnon
Thanks, I will try to get my copie of NRC. Happy trailing!
I wonder how long it takes before someone asks you if you two are a couple. Or are the couchoffering peepz too liberal to ask such a thing?
Probably one of the hardest couches I have ever seen.
In our atelier in Brussels, me and my boyfriend have lots of people coming to couch surf. (I hope this is the right way to conjugate this verb). It's a small Ikea couch, not big enough to stretch your legs, but still, it is more comfortable then on your picture Arnon.
@ Arnon, @ Jan
Arnon, do you live to write or write to live?
Jan, to do what you say you're going to do really isn't all that admirable or difficult. It's even very simple: just say you're going to climb the mount everest and then go and climb the mount everest. Even if you don't make it to the top, but that's a different discussion. Anyway, you know how the saying goes: the proof is in the etc.
@Arnon, ps
ps - i suddenly realized perhaps you'll interpret my tone wrong again and get angry byecause of my comments, but itwasn't meant that way, it wasn't meants as an attack. A quirky question for you, and for Jan an honest attempt at motivating him (because Jan you recently said your mind was sick).
@Noa
Do not worry, the mind is a bit like the body, sometimes it gets sick, sometimes it gets better.
A lot of people do loose talk, so I can admire people who talk and then act, but also for me, the results and the successes are not so important (as long as I have a roof, a bed, some food and some money to spend).
