Too early
Konz, about ten minutes by train from Trier, is one of the more melancholic villages I have visited.
The librarian said: “Maybe we have invited you too early.”
Nevertheless about forty people showed up. Afterwards there was white wine from the region , which made me wake up at about 4 am with a headache and more melancholy.

I woke up at 4 am as well. But not from wine (I'd Wish) but from illness. Drinking and melancholy go like mice and men.
If you drink enough, even in a melancholic German village, you can see the dancing leprechauns. I did, but now i stopped drinking. Once you crossed the border of 'the other world', you continue or you return, there is now way between. This is a warning from your custom officer on the borderline .
