The keynote speech by Marc Fumaroli was received well by many.
Of course we cannot hear enough about the dangers of mass culture. But the question why we need the classics remained unsolved. Even after the conference. I assume it is self-evident.

Yes, a person who asks himself 'the classical questions about life and dead and all in between and beyound' will always turn to The Classics soon or later, first for answers, in the end for the comfort of recognition.
