Ideas
Next to the station
Saturday afternoon we took the train from Glion to Caux.
My godson fell asleep on the train and so did I.
Next to the station of Caux is a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lake.
My godson’s mother ordered a plate of dried meat, I had goat cheese salad.
After lunch I told her my ideas for a new novel, the godson was still sleeping – I had the feeling I could stay in Caux forever.

So you do tell somebody your ideas (for a new novel).
I really like goat cheese salad.
The feeling I could stay in Caux forever
a perfect metaphore for happiness
Hotel Victoria Glion
A couple of years ago my girlfriend had a job interview at hotel victoria Glion. Later a colleague at Grand Hotel des Bains in Yverdon, who had done her internship there told her that the owner was the weirdest guy she ever met. Is that why it's your favorite hotel? (you seem to have a taste for weirdness in hotels, at least according to your July 29 post).
PS Don't be sad that you had to leave l'arc lémanique. The weather is rotten right now.
@All - tomorrow is Arnon's Bert van Selem reading in Leiden. Unfortunately I can't go so anyone who would like to go in my place, let me know. Of coure by doing this, I'm frustrating the fair bureacracy of waiting lists so I suppose you'll have to use my name.
Noa
A pity we won't meet tomorrow.
@Mieke, yes, I think so too. I don't have a babysitter.
Jan T
Yes, Marianne is the exception.
Noa
Why don't you take the baby with you. It's the Grunbergian thing to do.
@Rutger, he's not as well behaved as Arnon's godson.
It seems everyone's set - so I'll keep the place and figure something out.
Arnon
Your entry has been shortened twice. Did Marianne ask you to do so or is there another reason?
@Noa
I was there too Noa, had registered already in May. It was really worthwhile.

This entry has not been changed at all.
(Another entry has been changed indeed - I added a sentence and then deleted the sentence again. The only reason for this was a technical problem -- I had to perform a test.)
