The classics II
Good intentions
The Nexus-Institute is not the only one who is worried about the disappearance of the classics.
In today’s New York Times Mr. David Brooks wrote: “The leaders who founded the country were steeped in the classics, Kennedy found them in crisis, and today’s students are lucky if they stumble on them by happenstance.”
I don’t want t be one of those poor creatures who stumble on classics by happenstance.
As of today it will be one classic a month.
I’ll be my own Mr. Higgins.

Spread the word, Mr. Grunberg ! (By Jove, you are stimulating.)
I'm glad I found my way to the Classics, it was by Happenstance, but hey, I made it, didn't I?
I was in The Netherlands, spending a vacation. My god, this is a flat country. Loads of agriculture, and loads of wind. I spent it at a resort called "Roompot, Soeten Haerd" in Sealand. You're from The Netherlands, mister Grunberg, aren't you?
I'm getting someone to translate your works, Mister Grunberg. I already have this Short Story by you, called "The youngest" published in 'Magazijn I, De nieuwe generatie schrijver'', 2004. As for now, I think it was the foundation for Tirza, if my translator did his work well enough.
@Hey Dens, check this out:
http://www.pnvd.nl/docs/17november2006_1.html . It is about the visit to the not-so-alien pedo's, by Mr. Grunberg. Read and translate, it is briliiant, of course.
If Truth is just one of the many names of God, then Mr. Grunberg is His Profet (for the more pious among us, he is not the only one, altough a good one, OK).
Erratum, read, 'His Prophet'. The devil always plays tricks on me...
Alright, thanks.
(to the webmaster: It seems as though all the little flash-issues have disappeared.)
To Arnon: The way you threat plants it is wise/nice to give up the role of Pygmalion. Please be careful with the classics. They need a steady humidity.
To Dens P: You are right, the short story in Magazijn can be considered as the
bases of Tirza. Arnon Grunberg told so in an interview.
I rarely read interviews with writers, too my shame. I would like to, but I can't seem to find them.
I'm glad I saw it as well.
